Because you're young, brown, and a girl

The last gig in Oman was a lesson about my place in this world.

Since I'm young and lacking relevant experience, I get stuck with meanial jobs such as fetching food and drinks, rolling up cables, and other such servial tasks.

Since I'm a third world Asian whose first language wasn't English (although it actually was thanks to highly intellectual parents), I should not be given more responsibilities aside from sorting out transport, accommodation, and schedules. It also excludes me from eating meals and drinking pints with them. The role of Operations Manager, therefore, should not be given to me.

Since I'm a girl, the only way I can get a job is to sleep with the boss (and his wife), and to get promoted I have to fuck the two directors and the owner of the company. This also means I have to take on the role of Nanny and take care of them boys on site.

To top the whole wonderful experience off, since I'm all three, Adam & Eve will never happen..fuck no..to be exact, even as friends. Therefore, I should be left on my own in an airport full of people with no phone and the problem of getting home at two freaking thirty in the morning should be mine and mine alone.

That, my friends, is my place in this world that I have to remember at all times lest I get disappointed again and end up crying in my Dad's car all the way home.
