The Decree of Average Conformist Cowards

We, the Collective Soul knows what is acceptable and not. Fit in. Don't stand out. Mediocrity is the key to acceptance by Society.

Do not question, do not think unless you are told. Acute intelligence is a curse that you should hide. Don't display overt competence or you will suffer the consequences.

We will draw boxes and will fit each of you inside. Classes shall be assigned for each box and you are to carry the tags of your box wherever you go to keep you in line at all times. Intermingling is not allowed. We will place Watchers to maintain the Rules we have enforced. Their powers are Absolute and they will be everywhere. Escape is impossible.

The only way to survive is to follow our Standards. If you choose to disobey, we will bring you down at whatever cost. You will be punished for every sign of intelligence we see and for each display of competence. Everywhere you go, we will remind you of the boxes you have escaped and we will never cease to put you back inside where you belong.

It will be futile to fight the System. Live by our Rules or suffer. What other choice is there but ours?
