Changing tides

One step backwards, two steps forward, quipped my Dad. All things considered, going home instead of Syd is the best option at the moment. Recharge and regroup, then attack. So, I'm leaving this hell hole on the 8th evening. Stopping over at Singapura for a few days to visit a good good friend who, like me, has been living abroad for the past half year. Then on the 12th, we're going home together to Las Islas Filipinas -the land of carabao milk and pulukpukyutans! ;) Hopefully, Naning will come home to the island before the end of my freakin short vacation, so we can relive our good old beach bum days. (M, you'd better make time for me, as you said;))

Lily heard a knock on the door. She looked through the peephole to see who it was. She was to never open the door. Not even a crack. Not anymore. Recently, she made a list of who was to be let in. The man at the door was not on the list. Not anymore. He knew she was behind the thick heavy oak. Don't be afraid, my girl, my dear sweet girl. Open the door. He didn't say please. He didn't beg. He continued to speak softly to the girl on the other side of the door. He spoke as if there was no past and no tomorrow. Now, Lily. Now.
Just a crack. His voice had made her forget for a moment - A crack in the wall. That's all it take's, and it's over for Lily.
I smell blood, the blood of a fool, ready to be spilled.
